Habitat
The Arabian angelfish has been recorded at depths of 3 to 30 m (9.8 to 98.4 ft). It is common around relatively sheltered inshore reefs rich in soft and hard corals with occasional patches of silty seabed.
Behaviour
Its diet is dominated by sponges and tunicates. Solitary and shy, it is hard for divers to approach and is usually seen close to reef caves or crevices. The species is a protogynous hermaphrodite, with the larger member of a pair changing sex to become male.
