
Fury Shoals
Fury Shoals is a group of about 20 reefs located 30km/19mi south of Marsa Alam and 13km north of Ras Banas in the southwestern part of the Red Sea. This popular diving area can only be accessed by liveaboard. The Fury Shoals extend 9km from north to south and 30km from east to west, comprising a variety of beautiful dive sites. Divers will be delighted by the pristine coral reefs teeming with fish. The area offers various types of dives, including fringing reefs, walls, lagoons, drop-offs, and wrecks. Some notable dive sites include Sha'ab Claudia, known for its stunning swim-throughs and huge coral formations, Sha'ab Maksur, featuring steep walls and pinnacles, and Sha'ab Sataya (aka Dolphin Reef), which has deep walls and an inner lagoon where a pod of spinner dolphins resides.
