Shag Rock (Kingston)
Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt
Shag Rock, located about 5 miles south of Shaab Ali and 6 miles from the Thistlegorm wreck, is a shallow reef with a small metal lighthouse. At 15 meters depth lies the Kingston wreck, a British cargo vessel from 1871 that ran aground in 1881. The wreck is now covered in coral and provides excellent photography opportunities. Hawksbill turtles are often encountered along the coral reef.
